1) Airbus A380, Price: $500 Million USD

This extravagant aircraft, which costs approximately half a billion after customization, is owned by Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal of Saudi Arabia. The jet is considered by many to be a "flying palace", and it easily live up to its reputation. Complete with a concert hall, extensive parking space, spa treatment, 5 master bedrooms, 20 smaller guest rooms, and even a private elevator, the interior design is truly phenomenal. In addition, the boardroom and prayer room of this mobile mansion also feature state of the art technology; elements including holographic projections and automatically adjusted prayer mats are all just some of the amazing details that construct this elegant space. 


2) Airbus A340-300, Price: $350-500 Million USD

Currently possessed by renowned billionaire Alisher Usmanov, this hovering wonder is the largest private plane in all of Russia. Although the original price of this plane was $238 million, internal refinements and technological additions increased the final value to an estimation of 350 to 500 million dollars.


3) Boeing 747-430, Price: $233 Million USD

The fine details and gold decorations in this luxurious aircraft scream the name of their owner, Brunei's Sultan. Despite its original cost of only $100 Million, later additions of precious metals and gems pushed the price by a whopping $120 Million. In fact, this private jet even features washbasins made entirely out of solid gold and Lalique crystal. Despite the numerous wide-body planes that the Sultan owns, this is by far the most extravagant and expensive.

 

4)  Boeing 747-400, Price: $220 Million USD

Another jet belonging to the royal family of Saudi Arabia, this quarter-billion dollar aircraft is only a slightly cheaper than #3 on this list. Originally configured to suit 400 people, this plane has been redesigned to conform to the needs of only one individual; that is, Prince Al-Waleed bin Talal. The interior construction includes two customized bedrooms, a dining table suitable for 14 members, and a throne in the center of this mini "flying palace". Finally, 11 flight attendants are also present to satisfy the needs of the prince.

 

5)  Boeing 767-33A/ER, Price: $120-170 Million USD

Due to its cockpit paint detail, this private aircraft owned by billionaire Roman Abramovich has attained the nickname of the "Bandit". It is quite an amazing feat when 300 passenger's worth of space is refined to become that of one incredibly wealthy person. Featuring an outstanding coat of paint on its exterior, the internal areas of this jet is also reported to contain chestnut and gold decorations. Finally, Abramovich's private airplane also has a reputation of being one of the safest to exist; this is due to its protective anti-missile system in addition to top-notch security matching that of Air Force One.
